Isabelo Garden

We had the pleasure of dining at Isabelo Garden in Marikina :) Dining is by reservation only, and food is prepared especially for you; that is, your meal must be pre-ordered about a day before the date. Or like us, we just had Portia (the really nice chef) decide for us, given a set budget.

The place feels a bit of a mix of Chateau Verde (QC) and Bag of Beans (Tagaytay), with a quirky blend of differing tables and chairs, plus paintings and antique bits and pieces. Very nice ambiance, especially at night.

For starters, we had Spinach Dip and Pinoy Tuscan Salad. The Spinach Dip was a scrumptious mix of cheese and spinach which we finished in a few minutes, we even had to ask for extra bread! The Pinoy Tuscan Salad was yummy as well, having the perfect vinaigrette for the tomatoes.

Our main meal was Parmigiano Carbonara and Double Smoked Bacon/ Quattro Pizza. I loved the Quattro (Four Cheese) Pizza :) Double Smoked Bacon wasn’t bad, but between the two, I’d have the Quattro any time. The pasta was al dente with a real creamy sauce, definitely a tasty treat.

We had the right end to a great meal, with a Watermelon Sherbet which blended perfectly with the lemon on the side. The Sherbet helped balance out all the cheese and cream we just finished.

Overall, the meal was great and we would love to try Isabelo Garden's other dishes :) But I'd suggest you try it out at night, the place probably looks much better than it would at daylight.
