One of the bosses treated us for dinner at Crisostomo, Nuvali :) Dining at Crisostomo brings back memories of Noli me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, when the traditional baro't saya was still very much is fashion. Very quaint, and quite a gastronomic adventure, Crisostomo proved to be a great place for good food & conversation.
We ordered ALOT of food. True to Filipino form, all the dishes we ordered happened to have sawsawan, the best being that which came with the Ka Plaridel (Pla Pla). We also had Noli Me Tangere (Torta), Adobo Damaso, and Salomes Secret (Stuffed Squid), all of which came with their own sawsawan. The names of the dishes were definitely interesting, and we took quite some time before we finally decided to order (we wanted to try them all!).
The superb hit of the night was Ka Plaridel's sawsawan, with a great mix of sweet & tangy soy sauce and hot sili. Noli Me Talong was great, with a huge dollop of tomatoes and cheese, and Salome's Secret was definitely a zesty treat :) The Adobo Damaso was a bit dry, but was still very tasty,
Noli Me Talong (P180)
Ka Plaridel (P310)
Adobo Damaso (P325)
Salome's Secret (295)
