Heavenly Chocolate is a small, modest, sparsely furnished chocolate bar just at Roces Street (perpendicular to Tomas Morato). Offering everything pertaining to chocolate, they let us try Sachi chocolates which they exclusively distribute.
Originating from Japan, Sachi chocolates come in different delightful flavors, not limited to the following: Rum, Champagne, Bittersweet, and Dark. Each box costs P350. The powdery surface of each piece is reminiscent of the powder-y texture of Japanese Mochi, and adds to the different experience each tasteful bite brings.
And now, the Chocolate pasta, the real reason for my visit to Heavenly Chocolate (P150):
I had mixed emotions when I first took a bite of that chocolate-y penne pasta. But after a while, the taste of ganache with bacon bits and shallots grows on you. Personally however, the sweetness of the chocolate may be better balanced with more bacon. This Chocolate Pasta, albeit a must-try, still leaves me craving for that perfect combination of sweet and salty chocolate that will (or may) end the vicious cycle of desiring something salty after eating something sweet and vice versa.
