Mr. Jones

The girls and I had a post-Christmas Dinner at Greenbelt, and we were steered towards Mr. Jones (Diner). Despite being #4 on the waiting list, we tried to still our growling tummies and waited for about 30 minutes! Well, that must indicate that the food was great.

Mr. Jones offers all-day breakfast, soup & salad, entrees, milkshakes, & desserts :) They had this collection of 'bottled games' in one corner, although I'm not sure if guests can borrow their toys (I hope so).

The food did not disappoint :) Service was quick and they had huge servings. We were so hungry and ended up ordering alot of food! At the end of the meal we were too stuffed to even order dessert (that's a first), or even enjoy Miriel's chocolate chip cookies :)

Prices were reasonable, but silly me, I forgot to jot down the prices of what we ordered :P Their entrees range from PhP350 - PhP500, with the Wagyu beef entrees at about PhP650 or so.

What's a diner without the classic Rootbeer Float, Mac & Cheese, and Bacon & Eggs? Two sunny side ups + rice + bacon = a kind sized breakfast! The bacon was definitely bacon, unlike the usual commercialized types we normally get. The Mac & Cheese, although for sharing, was the smallest (vs.the rest of what we ordered) in terms of serving size. The dish must be shared however, lest you want put on all that cheese in your hips! Mac & Cheese was a different and refreshing dish, fit for the diner concept.

Finally, Fish & Chips, Chops, and Pasta :) Mr. Jones' fries was great :) The Dory had a little more batter than I would have wanted, but was still OK, and it was definitely a huge slab of fish! Definitely for sharing.
I loved the Seafood Linguine, with its full flavor, good seafood mix, and huge chunks of seasoned bread, which serves as croutons. The Glazed Porkchops was sweet and not tough, which was great too; it comes with mashed pumpkin (very interesting) and baby carrots (very cute).

All in all, Mr. Jones had been worth our wait :) A fresh restaurant choice in Greenbelt 4 :)
