One of the more popular joints for authentic Chinese food would be Wee Nam Kee (near Novena MRT Station). We’ve all heard one of the most sought-after dishes in SG is the Hainanese Chicken Rice. As expected, the dish is widely available, from the more expensive restaurants to food courts. During my first SG trip, I found really good Chicken Rice at CooCooRoo, a stall in one of
MAKANSUTRA GLUTTONS BAY
Just beside Esplanade’s Open Theatre, there is a smorgasbord of wonderful food choices, from Chicken Rice, to Satay, to Seafood, you name it. It seems this open food area is mostly frequented by tourists and usually full. We were glad that we were able to grab an empty table as soon as we got there. Must try: Spicy Baby Squid – it’s the best! :)

AH MEI CAFÉ
Situated inside a mall (I forgot which mall, sorry! will update this soon), Ah Mei Café is a small restaurant-stall serving anything from Kopi and Roti to Biryani. Ah Mei is a good alternative if you want to eat Biryani without going to Little India. You just have to eat a bit fast, since other customers are probably waiting for you to finish.

ICE COLD BEE (ICB)
Run by a Filipino, ICB is one of the night hangouts in SG which serve good pizza and wings. With a smorgasbord of international beers to choose from, great food should never be far behind :)
‘DIRTY’ ICE CREAM
Of course I won’t skip dessert! SG’s version of our Dirty Ice Cream is a slab of Wall’s (or Selecta in Manila) with a thin wafer to create an ice cream sandwich. Yummy all the time :)
Can't wait to go back! :)
