Cab Cafe

I first tried Cab Cafe's desserts when an office mate brought us some, but soon found out they offered meals as well. Found at the center of Kapitolyo near Poco Deli and Charlie Burger, Cab Cafe is a spacious restaurant (and has WiFi), great for a casual dinner with friends especially for nearby residents.

Cab Cafe offers breads (they bake their own), desserts, pasta, thin-crust pizza, and sandwiches. Of course the menu wouldn't be complete without coffee and cold drinks. Seems like they're still finalizing their menu, some food options are on separate sheets and sometimes even handwritten.

We decided to go with pizza and pasta. The supposed best-seller was the Pinoy Deli Spaghetti, but I really wasn't in the mood for Pinoy Spaghetti. Instead, we went with Linguine with Sundried Tomatoes and Pizza with Chorizo.. Both our pasta and pizza choice weren't too bad. But not super raving about it either. Then again, we might not have ordered the best they have to offer. (Remember we didn't get their bestsellers -- for both the pasta and pizza).

However, Rob is raving about their chili flakes, which was super H-o-t! He even asked me to take a picture of it :) Plus, the Mango Pavlova dessert we ordered was superb... I think it can even rival Contis' Mango Bravo. Super yum! :)

Rob's fave -- real hot chili flakes

Mango Pavlova, P120

I think I should still try out more food options before deciding if Cab Cafe gets my vote. Others say the Alfredo Pizza and Pinoy Spaghetti are must-tries... well, maybe next time. However, that Mango Pavlova is definitely worth another bite. Would probably go well with a strong cup of brewed coffee :)

UPDATE
Had dinner with friends at Cab Cafe. Ordered their best sellers -- Alfredo Pizza and Pinoy Deli Spaghetti. I must admit, that Alfredo pizza was superb! Should've ordered it the first time we were there! The Pinoy Deli Spaghetti wasn't bad.. but I'm not really fond of itlog na maalat, so I'm not as excited over it as the pizza :) Tried also their Strawberry Shortcake -- not bad, but too 'airy' or 'fluffy' for my taste. I still go for the Mango Pavlova :)
