Crazy Katsu

Another interesting addition to the many food choices along Maginhawa st., Crazy Katsu is a small, hole-in-the-wall Japanese resto which offers affordable Katsu meals. Rice toppings/ meals are around P140-P150 each. Interiors were bright, but can get a bit hot since they use pin lights; the low ceiling makes it a bit too close for comfort.

We ordered the best-seller Chicken Katsu, Tonkatsu, and Curry Rice. The curry was to runny, but tastes quite good...just not so visually appetizing. It seems that the Tonkatsu and the Chicken Katsu meat tastes quite the same (primarily due to the breading), and they even look the same, sitting on a bed of shredded lettuce.
But what I loved about the Chicken Katsu was the spicy, tangy sauce the chicken was drizzled with. It went really well with the entire meal and tasted really good :)

If you find yourself in the area and craving for some Jap food, try the Chicken Katsu.
