Taco Salad

One of the best and easiest dishes to prepare is a Taco Salad :) Really good especially for those who're at a loss on what to bring to parties. At this time of the year, a quick and easy dish would be best.

Basic ingredients:
Seasoned Ground Beef or Roasted Chicken (cubed or thinly sliced)
Shredded lettuce
Diced tomatoes
Corn
Grated cheese
Taco Shells
Salsa or Ranch dressing

Place lettuce at the bottom of a big, deep bowl. Along the sides of the bowl, arrange halved taco shells. Position choice meat on top of the lettuce; add tomatoes, corn, and cheese. Ready a bottle of salsa or ranch dressing on the side so guests can choose for themselves.

Easy as 1-2-3 and you have a nice, healthy, and tasty dish for any occasion :)

10th Month Special

In just two months, Rob & I will be celebrating our 1st year! :) And in just a short time after, we're expecting a new addition to our little family! Prepared a simple dinner tonight -- Parmesan Crusted Dory on Tomato, Tuna, & Mushroom Pasta :) Sooo glad Rob loved it! And afterwards, we had a fab Strawberries & Vanilla Ice Cream dessert! Great dinner to cap off our work day :)

Now, Rob doesn't want to leave for Davao. As if! Haha :)

Fisherman's Catch

Another cooking weekend :) Rob told me to name my kitchen concoctions, and so this one is called Fisherman's Catch: Sardine, Tuna, & Mushroom in Tomato Sauce Linguine :) Purely experimental, but ended up as one of Rob's faves. Whew, mission accomplished :)

Sunday Brunch

Been in the mood for cooking this weekend :) Sunday brunch is a quick olive-oil based pasta with Hungarian sausages (courtesy of a good friend), tuna, and mushroom. Not really planned, no recipes, just picked up some ingredients from the pantry. Turned out great! :) Maybe weekends will be cooking weekends from now on.

p.s. Rob named this dish Hungry Hungarian :)
