On my recent trip to Cavite, we stopped for lunch at a local restaurant in Dasmarinas named
LZM Restaurant, Lutong Bahay Specialties. It's a roadside humble restaurant, serving Filipino food. It's not in a
turo-turo format where food are pre-cooked and you just have to choose what you want, but they prepare the food only when you order; so food is served fresh and hot :)
There were 5 of us, and we ordered
Bulalo (Bone Marrow soup),
Boneless Bangus (Milkfish), and
Tortang Talong (Eggplant Omelet). I can definitely say that the highlight of the meal for me is the Boneless Bangus. I loved it! LZM's is really good - fried just right and crunchy! And I have to admit, it's the biggest Bangus I've seen on a plate! The Eggplant was okay, pretty normal, but still as yummy :) I'm not a big Bulalo fan, but the soup was very flavorful (and they do give soup refills, which wasn't bad at all).
All in all, I couldn't believe the whole meal (complete with loads of rice and softdrinks) amounted to just P1,090. And we were all full! Not a bad lunch at all :) Plus, I'm happy to say that LZM Restaurant can also be found in Tagaytay and Solenad :)
