One of the new additions to the booming Kapitolyo area is a Jap resto named Ramen Cool. It took us quite a while before trying out the place, and I've been hearing both good and bad feedback based on friends' dining experiences. It was a rainy night when we decided to try it out -- ramen always sounds like a good idea for any rainy day.
The place looks nice, it had bright interiors with nice furniture and detail.
We ordered California Maki and Katsu Curry Ramen. I had the Katsu separated from the soup, as I didn't want it getting soggy. Because of the huge serving, it looked like I had two separate orders! Which was a good thing. So we bought Crabstick Mix Rice on the side :)
The Cali Maki was okay; generally tasted similar compared to others we've tried. I feel that they could lessen the Jap mayo a bit for this one, though. The Curry Ramen was good. I could taste the spicy curry, but it wasn't too overpowering. Great for a cold, rainy night :) The Katsu on its own was a bit bland though (probably because it was supposed to be originally mixed in with the curry ramen). Nevertheless, our Crabstick rice made up for the lack of taste.

Albeit a bit pricey, it was good to be presented with a lot of different Ramen options (it did kind of make it more difficult to choose though). I have yet to try the other kinds, before I can say that Ramen Cool actually does Ramen well. Other food offerings though are quite so-so. For cheap, but good sushi, I still go for Tok-yu. Also try Nihonbashitei to satisfy a Jap craving :)
