It was quite some time before we finally decided to watch Cirque du Soleil's Varekai, primarily due to the cost. We eventually decided to see the show, since it's obviously more costly to go to Vegas to watch Cirque live, than it is to watch it here in Manila.
We bought the tickets online, hoping that we'd get good seats. Since we were not familiar with the set-up (Cirque brought their own tent), we picked the first row, closest to the middle of the stage that we could afford.
I was eagerly waiting for the show date we picked. I was just like a child when I saw the tents at the Quirino Grandstand - wide eyed with excitement as I took photos of the exterior and interior of the tent :) We were a bit early and had just enough time to buy popcorn & drinks, go to the john, mill around, and take some photos.

We were able to pick great seats! It was a good thing we went for the first row -- it's not too near the stage. In fact, the seating was not as inclined as one would think and it was best to be seated in the front than to peek in between people seating in front of you. Sitting in front gave us a great view of every movement, the care and detail that was given to each & every awesome costume, as well as appreciate the actors' facial expressions :)
All in all, the show was great and definitely worth it. Colorful, funny, and action-packed all at the same time. If you've seen Kaos, which was shown at Resorts World, you'll see that Kaos was also a good show and had pretty good spectacles and stunts. In fact, for about half the price, you'd also get great entertainment with Kaos. What Kaos lacked, however, would be the comic relief, which Varekai definitely delivered.
