Tried out Florabel at The Podium last week as I caught up with a good friend over a dinner/ dessert (or make that light dinner/ heavy dessert) date. The place was cozy and perfect for good conversation and food. We loved the decor and ambiance, simple yet elegant.

We just ordered pasta and a dessert each. Before the pasta was complimentary bread, and I really liked that olive oil, herb dip they had. Pasta ala Ricky was a basil pesto based pasta, with frankfurters, salami, and mushrooms. I admit it was a bit too oily, but the combination of flavors was good nonetheless.
Dessert consisted of a Mango Cream Torte and Sansrival, both of which enriched not only our palate, but also our kwentuhan. I'd say that date was a success; good food + great conversations; can't really ask for more.

Florabel also has a lot of Filipino dishes, maybe I'll get to try them out next time :)
