Brasas : Latin American Street Food

Chanced upon this interesting (relatively) new restaurant at The Podium -- BRASAS Latin American Street Food. The concept had me and Rob hooked. Loved the resto name and ambiance, and the interiors gave a Latin street food feel; it was bold yet casual.

Cool interiors

The menu was pretty simple and straight to the point. They also offered big plate options for sharing.

I liked the fact that they have a Condiment and Utensil Station, so customers can help themselves.

We ordered a Grilled Beef Wrap and a Chicken Rice Platter, which was supposed to be their best sellers. Also tried their Latin Iced Tea and Guarapo drink. Loved the Guarapo Sugarcane Juice; wasn't too sweet and blended well with the meal. Iced tea was alright, at least it's not powdered or anything like that.
Grilled Beef Wrap was great, and the beef was cooked just right, tender and tasty. Customers can also have access to flowing Chipotle and Cheese sauce, which went really well with the Beef Wrap. The Chicken Rice Platter came with Yellow Rice, some sides, and Chimichurri sauce. I was actually surprised with the serving quantity. It didn't look like a big meal, but it was a pretty generous serving. Being the chicken-fan that I am, I really liked the chicken texture and taste; and although the yellow rice was kind of oily, it was a good match.

Guarapo (P80) & Latin Iced Tea (P60)
Grilled Beef Wrap (Reg P220, Pequeno P190)
Chicken Rice Platter (P180)

I'd say it was a good dinner, and different from the usual fare. Something new to try :) Will probably be back; but since they have a pretty straightforward menu, it might just take a few visits and you would have already tried everything. Something they can look into.
